This week is anti-bullying week. Today P2/3 learned about how our words are powerful and once they are spoken we can’t erase them. We illustrated this using a sheet of paper. Every time an unkind word was spoken to the paper it was crumbled until it was in a ball. We then said sorry to the paper and were able to flatten it out again. We discussed how saying sorry made things better but the paper was not exactly the way it had been before.
We then used our words for good. We named kind, positive words about each person in our class and recorded these on the board around them.
